Recommended Roof Rack For A 2021 Toyota Highlander And Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier

Question:

HiI have a 2021 Toyota Highlander with flush-mount rails. Id like to install the Thule Hullavator system for carrying my kayak. But I cant find a system of Thule crossbars for my Highlander. Can you help? Also, once I have the parts, should I take them to my dealers service folks to install the system? Thanks.

There isn't currently a Thule crossbar fit for your 2021 Toyota Highlander but the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs - Side Loading # TH898 is compatible with other branded round, square, aero, or elliptical crossbars.

I recommend installing the Yakima roof rack system which include the following parts:

Yakima CoreBar Crossbars - Steel - Black - 50" Long - Qty 2 # Y00421
SkyLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Fixed Mounting Points, Flush Rails, and Track Systems - Qty 4 # Y53TR
Landing Pad 28 for Yakima SkyLine And Control Towers - Qty 4 # Y66VR

These crossbars combine the strength of steel with an aerodynamic shape to create a heavy-duty yet quiet roof rack for your vehicle. The full-length bars maximize cargo carrying capacity and work with most clamp-on accessories like your Thule Hullavator # TH898. The Heavy-duty towers let you safely mount 2 Yakima crossbars to your Highlander with flush side rails. The tower pitch adjusts to create a level roof rack on curved roofs. and includes a torque tool for worry-free installation.

I've included installation videos below to help you with this process if you choose to do it yourself. If not we do have an installer locator on each of these products that will help you locate a shop to get these installed in. The locater link is just below the videos for the product.
