Recommended Bike Rack for 2 Blix Aveny e-Bikes With Fenders

Question:

Hi Im interested in this bike rack. However I noticed it mentions secured by front wheel with no touch of frame. My Blix Aveny step-thru e-bike has a front fender. Can this rack hold the bike if secured onto Bike Adapter Pro that can be placed between the stem and seat? Thanks for your help.

In order for the Thule T2 # TH83JV bike rack to have proper hold of the bike, the ratcheting hook needs to contact the tire right in front of the bike's head tube. If the hook contacts the fender, or the tire further away from the head tube, the hook won't have a good enough hold of the tire, and the bike could come free. For that reason, I couldn't recommend the Thule T2 PRO. It's not recommended that an adapter bar be used to secure the bike using the ratcheting hook.

Instead, I'd go with a rack designed to hold the bikes by the seat post tube, like the Yakima # Y36FR OnRamp. The OnRamp can handle two bikes weighing up to 66 lbs each, from what I found online, your Blix Aveny bikes weigh 54 lbs each, so the rack will have plenty of capacity to handle your bikes. The rack also features a cable lock to secure the bikes the rack and an integrated ramp that makes loading the bikes much easier. The rack is also capable of tilting rearward with the bikes in place for easy cargo area access.
