Do I Need to Remove the Air Dam Brackets in Order to Install the # K284314 on My 2019 Ram 1500?
Question:
From what I understand, on the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, the air dam under the bumper needs to be completely removed in order to install the custom mount 84314 in order for the crossbar to fit. What about the brackets that hold the air dam? Do they need to be removed too or do the two air dam brackets stay in place?

I went ahead and reached out to my contact at DK2, and he said that you are correct in saying that you will have to remove the air dam on the bottom of the bumper of your 2019 Ram 1500 Classic in order to install the mounting brackets # K284314 on a DK2 snow plow like # K2STOR8422.
When it comes to removing the air dam brackets, my contact unfortunately could not confirm for sure whether the brackets need to be removed. With that being said, the best route forward is to see if you can fit the plow brackets with the air dam brackets first. If you find that the plow brackets will not fit with the air dam brackets, you will need to remove the air dam brackets for fitment.
I went ahead and provided a diagram of what the plow installation brackets will look like once installed on your truck.
