Determining Corsley 6 x 20 Flat Bed Trailer Axle Rating
Question:
Hey there, Im looking at a 1996 Corsley 6foot x 20foot flat bed trailer. There are no info plates on the frame It does have a statement of orgin not a title. It show the model as a 7T. Since it has 8 lug 16inch wheels Im assuming this is trailer has a rating of 14K What do you think? Thanks

Typically, the axle diameter will provide a clue to the capacity. I am assuming you have a tandem axle trailer. If the axles are 3 inches in diameter, chances are you have 6,000 to 7,200 lb axles. The fact that you have an 8 lug hub tends to further confirm this, but if you can provide the reference numbers from your bearings, I can definitively confirm it.
