Best Low Profile Ladder Rack For A Roof Basket On A 2021 Toyota Tundra With A Tonneau Cover

Hi, Im looking at the RetraxONE XR RTT-60832 bed cover, but will also need a rack for it. I have the 6.5 bed and would like something low profile as I want to add a basket for storage and would rather not have to use a ladder to get to it. Looking for recommendations. Thanks.

If you are looking to get the RetraxONE XR # RTT-60832 installed on your 2021 Toyota Tundra with the 6-1/2 foot bed, I do have a great option to add a lower profile ladder rack along with it. The Yakima OutPost HD Overland Truck Bed Rack w/ Tonneau Cover Adapter # Y01152-5855 will install directly into the T-tracks on the RetraxONE XR and will be a quick and simple installed. Once installed, this will sit 13" above truck bed rails, so it will be much easier to access items stored on it than a standard height rack.

For the basket, I recommend the Surco Safari Rack 5.0 Rooftop Cargo Basket for Yakima Roof Racks # SPS5060-Y400. This will measure 60" Long x 50" Wide x 5" tall, has a load capacity of 250 pounds, and will give you a very good amount of room for storage. It is also specifically designed for use on Yakima racks, so it will fit perfectly. With 20.8 square feet of room, you can't do much better.
