For a ladder rack with a high capacity for your 2022 Ram 1500 with a 5-1/2' bed I recommend the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH57RV. This rack has an impressive carrying capacity of 1,250 lbs. It is fully adjustable and slides along the rails to suit your needs.

This rack uses 69-1/2" crossbars and has a height of 27-5/16". When not in use, you can put the sections next to each other at the front of the truck bed for full bed access, or remove them.
