Bike Rack that Can Carry Carbon Frame Bike
Question:
I have recently purchased a carbon frame bike. I own a Thule Vertex hitch mounted bike rack. It uses rubber straps to secure the bike. Are the rubber straps safe for the frame?

I would not recommend any hanging bike racks for a carbon frame bike. The straps and shock that the cradles put on the frame will most likely damage it. Best option is a bike rack like the Thule T2 part # TH83JV that only touches the bike's tires. This will prevent any damage to the delicate carbon frame material.
