What Should Trailer Leaf Spring Hanger Spacing Be with Roadmaster Comfort Ride for 7K Axles

Question:

I purchased this kit for my RV and find that I need to replace the spring hangers for both axles. What should the spacing be for the front and rear hangers and what should the measurement be from center axle to axle? I did not remove the two center brackets as they are not damaged but the far front and rear are worn from the center bolt rubbing against the top side. I have a 2016 Keystone Fushion 345 tandem axle and have the system in place just have to weld on the new brackets but want to make sure my spacing is correct. Thank you

Expert Reply:

The distance from the leaf spring hangers when using the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit part # RM-2460-2570 should be 29-1/2" or 30-1/2". The hanger spacing is determined by the trailer manufacturer and should not be changed.
