The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13504 could be added to a vehicle that does not have a transmission cooler or be used along with the factory transmission cooler for extra cooling. This will work well with your original factory cooler in your 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD to upgrade your cooling capacity.
Typically the line running out from the factory cooler runs to the # D13504, and then the return line from the Derale will run back to your transmission. The best mounting location is directly behind the grille, in front of the radiator and a/c condenser.
For easier installation, you may also want to grab the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM # D13035.
I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
