For your 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty, we have the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate # VG-100. This has an open design that improves your field of vision when driving and is custom fit to your truck. However, it should be noted that the tabs will need to be removed from your factory pivot tube insert. If you would like to retain the use of the factory tailgate, you will need to order Part ETZZ-99430B22-A at your local Ford dealership.
