Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller Fit on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4xe
Question:
I have a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JLU 4xe with the trailer tow package. Will the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller work with this vehicle? Will it be able to use the Jeeps trailer brake wiring? I am asking this question because of the 4xes regenerative/distributed braking.

Yes, the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR will work on your 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4xe.
You will need the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter # 3073-P to connect to the factory connection on your Jeep. Then the Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter # 331-TPH-017 will adapt the Tekonsha adapter to fit the connection on the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite.
The trailer brakes will only activate when the brake pedal is pressed unless you manually override the brakes. If you use the Maximum Regenerative Brake button on the dash it will not activate the brakes on the trailer until you push the brake pedal.
