Where do I Install the Engine Block Heater # KH11431 on My 2006 BMW X3?  

Frost plug location 2006 BMW X3 M54 3.0L... Hmmm. I dont see any at all. I checked pictures of bare blocks and no luck. Sadly, that rules out utilizing a block heater. I tried a lowerfoot rad hose heater, but it doesnt do much as its more like halfway down the radiator and I really didnt notice any quicker warm up time when it was -18c. I checked the heater, cord and outlet operation - all were fine. Coolant system was full and no air was present. I cant think of anything else which would inhibit operation asides from the frontal coolant system design. The issue is that I dont live far from work, so my trips are short and the crankcase valve system is notorious for freezing up from condensation during short trips in winter and these older vehicles definitely need preheating during winter a frozen or defective CCV system loves to either blow seals or feed oil directly into the intake to ruin the catalytic converters. An oil pan heater aids start-up, but doesnt do much for preheating any coolant. Any ideas or clarity regarding something I missed? Thank you for your time.
