Trouble Shooting Furrion Electric Fire Place Flashing Red Light And No Heat.

Question:

Turns on for a few seconds and red light comes on stops blowing heat. What can I check. I have turned off main switch to fuse box that goes to the heater for 4 hrs. Turned back on same problem. Where are the sensors and how do I clean them

This sounds like a proximity sensor issue. There are two sensors covered by a wire mesh, located in the top left corner, in some cases people have been able to trim the wire away and this will fix the problem.

I have read in some forums that people have noticed the tiniest of objects causing the sensors to "trip" and have used a can of compressed air along with trimming the wire mesh to fix the issues.
