What Trunk Bike Rack Do You Recommend For My 2013 Toyota Prius

Hi there! : I need a TWO bike rack to fit on my 2013 Prius. It has a scoop spoiler on the hatch. Female bike. I would appreciate a little or more guidance as to what t type of rack to choose. I am an older person so would not like anything too heavy. Your input and or ability to talk with me would be appreciated. Thanks mucho!

If your bikes do not weigh more than 35 lbs, I recommend the Saris Bones EX 2 Bike Rack - Adjustable Arms - Trunk Mount, part # SAR83FR. This rack is designed specifically to be compatible with cars with spoilers. There are two legs on this rack that route the straps through a groove in the leg to alleviate the pressure the rack places on the spoiler. I have extensive experience with the Saris Bones racks. I have used them to carry bikes across the country on two occasions: from St. Louis to Los Angeles and back, and from the Washington DC area to St. Louis and back. Since you have at least one step through bike, i.e. female, you will need an adapter bar. I recommend the Saris Bike Beam Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes, part # SA3040. The bar attaches between your bike's seat post and its stem, creating a faux top tube. You will hang your bike from the Saris bike rack by this faux top tube.
