Ford OEM 5th Wheel Hitch Puck Spacing
Question:
Do you know if a drawtite 5th wheel hitch from a 2008 ford puck system would fit a 2022? Did ford change the puck system over the years?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Ford didn't offer an OEM puck system in the 2008 model year, chances are you have a Reese Elite aftermarket puck system installed in that older truck.
The Reese puck system uses the same center to center puck spacing as the Ford OEM puck system does, so your hitch should work perfectly in your new truck. You can confirm this by measuring the center to center puck spacing. If the tabs of your hitch that sit in the pucks are spaced 30 inches apart center to center laterally and 13 inches apart center to center front to back, your hitch will work great in the factory pucks on your 2022 Ford truck.
