Can Middle of Access Lorado Tonneau Cover be Opened on 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 w/ 6-1/2 Bed

Question:

When the cover is fully closed, it will be secured at the front panel, and the rear panel will also be secured. Can someone lift the edge of the middle panel and gain access ? What stops the middle of the cover edge being lifted ?

I suppose if someone wanted to bad enough, they could pry open the middle of the Access Lorado Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover # 834532006380.

There isn't anything specifically that stops the middle of the cover edge from being lifted, but I gotta say, it would be awfully tough to do so. Someone would need some type of tool to pry it open, and that wouldn't go unnoticed. So your 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 with a 6-1/2 foot bed would still be well protected with the Access Lorado Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover # 834532006380.

That said, if protection of your bed is the utmost concern, then you might want to consider a tonneau cover that sits inside your bed rails so it can't be lifted up from the outside, and one that has more clamps, with the most economical of that type of tonneau for your Chevy being the BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK26101.

The G2 # BAK26101 uses six clamps on a 6-1/2 foot bed - two at the front, two in the middle, and two in the rear - and because it installs with the edge inside your bed rails, it would be much more difficult to open from the side.
