Does 7-Way Trailer Wiring 12 Volt Have Voltage at all Times
Question:
Is the 1 o’clock 12 volt battery connector always hot or does it work through the ignition switch? I need to clean the contact but don’t want to short anything out. Is there contact spray you can recommend?

The 7-way of the # ETBC7 would have the 12 volt pin active all the time if that circuit was ran to the vehicle battery with the included wire and breaker. This circuit is not always active though so there's a chance yours isn't hot at any point. If it was though you could just use sandpaper to clean the pins and not worry about creating a short.
