Recommended SumoSprings for Hauling 1000 lb Round Hay Bales w/ 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 Classic

Question:

I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic 1500 4x4 that I haul a 1,000 lb round bale in back with once a wk. The original bump stops are gone, and I’m interested in installing some Sumospings to replace them. Which ones do you recommend?

If a 1000 lb round bale is the heaviest thing you'll haul in the truck bed, I'd recommend going with the SumoSprings # SS95MR that you'd looked at, which would provide you a little bit of leeway in case the bales vary in weight a bit as the springs offer up to 1500 lbs of support per pair.

If you'll occasionally haul items heavier than that, I'd go a step up in capacity with the # SS45MR which can support up to 2800 lbs.

The SumoSpirngs are more pliable than other jounce spring replacements, so even when the vehicle suspension compresses so it's sitting on the replacement jounce springs, the truck won't ride like a buckboard.

I've linked to some product videos you might find helpful.
