The Derale transmission pan cooler, # D14207, is listed as a fit for the 2004 Chevy Silverado with the 6.0 liter engine as long as the truck also has the 4L80E transmission. It will not fit a different transmission.
The cooler fits the same footprint as the factory pan, only it is deeper and has turbulators. The overall height is 4-1/6 inches. This should enable you to determine if there is any clearance issues. I have included some liks to FAQ articles on transmission coolers for you.
