Recommended Replacement For A MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe 7500K

Question:

Hello, I bought the Maxxair Maxfan deluxe 7500k smoke and it worked 4 hours before I started to get the green light of death. Pull the fuse, let it sit for a minute, reinstall the fuse and try again. It worked for a few moments and then again. Read about it not liking power fluctuations so installed a 12.8v buck/boost and checked power coming to unit under various conditions and is always 12.8v. Still getting the green light of death. I bought the replacement control panel and motor to see if that fixes it. It is less then 2 years old but cannot get a reply from the manufacturer. Didn’t really want to give more money to Maxxair when their product doesn’t work but thought I would try first. Do you know of any vent that is reliable? I don’t care about the options I just want it to work. I would like it to be able to reverse, pull in air and exhaust, manual is fine, main thing is it works. Don’t need a rain sensor, and would like it to move a lot of air and not worried about noise.

I'm sorry you've been experiencing that with MaxxAir. Normally they are very responsive and offer a solution to any issues. In place of your MaxxFan I recommend the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Remote - Powered Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" # FV807350. This 12v fan is reversible to push stale air out and pull fresh air into your RV, camper, or enclosed trailer. This fan offers 2 modes of operation; 13 manual speeds let you boost or reduce airflow as needed and 13 automatic, thermostat-regulated settings conserve energy by running only when preset temperature is reached. It has an easy to use digital remote control to provide convenient operation as well. This particular model does come with a rain sensor and has a powered lift.
