Removing Black Corrosion for Wires When Installing Furrion Twist Lock 50 Amp Power Plug
Question:
381684 I am trying to attach this connector to my 50 amp Furrion cable. I cut off the molded-on connector and stripped the wires but three out of the four wires are not bright copper - it looks like they have a black coating. See picture. Im pretty sure these will not make a proper connection. Since they are multi-strand Im not sure how to clean them up. Any suggestions? Thanks

Black corrosion on the core of trailer wiring is pretty common like what you have found. If you have a can or bottle of Coca Cola you can dip the wires in that and it will take it right off.
