The Hopkins 7-Way Molded Trailer Connector you mentioned, part # H20042 is not a vehicle-specific item. It will work well with any vehicle that is equipped with a 7-way trailer connector as long as it is wired correctly.

I have linked you to our wiring FAQ article that will run through how a 7-way is wired. Keep in mind that the # H20042 uses a non-typical wire color code, so be sure to wire it by function, not by wire color.

The white wire on the connector would ground to the trailer frame, the red would connect to the left turn/brake circuit, the brown connects to the right turn/brake and blue to the trailer brake wire. If the trailer needs any 12-volt power for accessories or to maintain a trailer-mounted battery, it would use the black wire. The yellow wire is typically used to power reverse lights, if needed.
