Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring

Question:

Will this suit my Hyundai Elantra Touring? Will there be ground clearance issues? I want to get a lock to lock this to the hitch. Do I need to get a Rola brand lock or will any brand work?

All of the trailer hitches for the 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring are Class I hitches. The Swagman Titan bike rack, # S63400, is Class I compatible so you can use it on your Elantra. This bike rack has a rise shank which means that the bottom of the rack will be a little higher than the bottom of the hitch so it will offer about 3 inches of additional rise for ground clearance. This bike rack does not come with a hitch lock. If you would like to add a hitch lock, the Swagman, locking, anti-rattle, threaded hitch pin # S64029, would be a great idea.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all.
