Is Draw Tite Hitch # DT65MR a Class III or Class IV Hitch

I would agree that the Draw Tite hitch part # DT65MR is more of a Class IV hitch based on it's capacities so I checked with Draw Tite and they have it listed as a Class III/IV in one place and Class IV in another. Since it's towing capacity is 6,000 lbs I would lean towards it being a Class IV. In general the Classifications are just a way to organize them by relative capacity. So it's always the most important thing to look at the actual capacity of the hitch compared to what you plan to tow and the capacity of the tow vehicle.
