For your Rear View Safety Backup Camera System # RVS-778718N you can try some of these troubleshooting steps:
1. Perform a hard reset. Unplug all the cables and power cables and leave out for one minute, then plug back in.
2. Check the physical connections to the camera, and ensure they are tight. A loose connection to the camera is fairly common and typically the source of error.
3. Verify that the camera is connected to the correct port. The camera should be connected to the port labeled "Backup Camera".
4. Verify the green positive trigger on the power harness is connected to positive reverse 12v power.
5. Double check the camera is on the correct camera input and that the cable is connected to the monitor.
6. If all else fails, connect a known working camera and cable to the monitor, if it does not work you may have a faulty unit.
