I have a temporary bike-mounting solution for you. Since we have not tested two Seasucker Hornets # 298-BH1302 on a back window of a vehicle, we cannot confirm for sure if the weight of the combined bikes on the windows will damage/crack the windows. Also, I advise against it for the sole reason that any bump or added torque on the back of your vehicle can exponentially increase the weight on the windows (which may lead to a greater potential for cracking).

With that being said, I recommend using the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B to mount onto your roof of your rental vehicles. The Monkey Bars simply mount onto the roof via vacuum cups. As far as weight capacity, the Monkey Bars come with an impressive 150 pounds of maximum weight capacity. However, it is important to confirm with the user's manuals of all of your rental vehicles to make sure the roof can accommodate that much weight. For extra security of the SeaSucker, I recommend the Window Anchor # 298-BA0010 along with the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891.

For the bike racks themselves, I recommend 2 of the Inno Tire Hold II Roof Bike Rack # INA389. The Tire Hold II only measures 10 inches wide which will allow you to mount 2 onto the Monkey Bars. If your bike has fat tires, I recommend the RockyMounts TomaHawk # RKY1222. The TomaHawk will fit tires up to 5 inches wide.

As far as making the installation easier, you will need at least two people to load the bikes. For your height needs, I recommend a telescoping ladder like the Telesteps Telescopic Ladder # TE44FR.
