Parts Needed To Convert Single Axle 14 Foot Trailer To Tandem Axle

Good day I would like to convert my single axle trailer into a tandem what would I need to do that. My trailer is 14 feet long.

In order to convert your single axle trailer into a tandem you will need the additional axle, a tandem axle suspension kit, leaf springs and u-bolts. It will, however, take more than just adding these on to make the conversion.
You will want to take a look at your current axle and suspension in order to make sure you get the correct parts. You need to know the axle weight capacity and diameter as well as the leaf spring dimensions to choose the right suspension parts for a tandem setup. A tandem axle suspension kit will have the equalizers, spring hangers, shackle bolts, and shackle straps. You will also need to choose leaf springs, u-bolts, and u-bolt plates based on the weight capacity of your axles and size of the leaf springs you have now.
