What Trunk Mount Bike Rack Will Hold a 16 Inch Kids Bike on a 2008 Honda Civic

Question:

We drive a 2008 Honda Civic, so most racks fit our car, but I need one that will hold my daughters 16inch bike. Help?

A 16 inch bike is fairly small so it is going to be a little difficult to get it on a trunk mount bike rack, but certainly doable. You will most likely need an adapter bar like # TH982XT to get the bike on the rack. On your daughters bike the adapter will go around the handle bar gooseneck and the seat post. I have to use these adapters and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all.

I have the Thule OutWay 3 # TH56BV that you have referenced. This is an excellent bike rack because of how quickly and easily it installs. All of the racks are going to be about the same as far as kids bikes. You would need an adapter for any of them if the frames will not fit around the 6-1/2 inch outside to outside arm measurement minimum on this rack.
