Installing The Roadmaster RM-9160 On A 2005 Fleetwood Discovery 39L

Question:

So apparently I did something wrong, when I attach to Car the brake fully applies with Coach park brake off. Stupid question is the Breakaway installation mandatory, because I did not connect it yet and how will that make a difference in the brake being fully depressed

The brake relay valve should be located just above the rear axle of your 2005 Fleetwood Discovery 39L. In the attached installation video for the Roadmaster BrakeMaster System w BrakeAway for RVs w Air or Air Over Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional # RM-9160 you can see that the valve is mounted to the frame of the motorhome and should look like figure 10 from the manual.

Yes, the breakaway switch is a mandatory installation for any supplemental braking system. Without the breakaway switch # RM-8600 properly installed the Roadmaster BrakeMaster System # RM-9160 is just going to keep depressing the pedal because it thinks that your towed vehicle has become detached from the motorhome and is trying to slow it down to safely stop.
