Recommended Power Conversion Kit for Dometic Awning

Question:

I am interested in purchasing the Solera 18V power arms for my RV awning which is a manually operated awning. How do I measure the awning arms? Measuring from the top of the arm to the bottom mounting bracket is 72. If I measure to the bottom of the bracket it is 75. My awning is a Dometic AandE awning. What else do I need to make the conversion from manual to powered

When measuring to determine the length of the new arms for your Dometic awning, what matters is the amount of space you have for the brackets. So the Solera XL Power Awning Support Arms # LC362243 would work as long as you have 78" when measuring straight down from the awning rail. However, these arms are designed for the XL power awning.

Since you want to convert from manual to powered, I recommend the Solera 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit - Universal - 69" Arms - Black # LC434723 instead. From the measurements you have already taken, this will fit since you should have more than 69" of space. The kit comes with everything you need to make the conversion and is designed for your Dometic awning. It is also available in white if you would prefer that over black, # LC434724.

I have attached a review video for your reference.
