Which Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System for Trailer with 750 lb Tongue Weight
Question:
Hi there, I’ve bought the Reese steadi flex 66560 weight distribution hitch, my trailer has a dry weight of 7500 lb and a hitch weight of 757 lbs. is this an acceptable hitch? I went one up from the 66559 because I figured loaded up I would be more towards the 900lb-1000lb hitch weight mark, and wanted some over head with a more robust hitch. Thank you

The Reese # RP66560 is designed for trailers with an as-towed tongue weight (including the weight of any gear stowed behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle) between 600-1200 lbs. The # RP66560 would be ideal for a trailer with a ~750 lb tongue weight such as what you mentioned.
As long as your as-towed tongue weight is somewhere in that 600-1200 lb range, the # RP66560 would be the perfect choice. The system offers proven weight distribution and adds a sway control component that's very effective at preventing trailer sway caused by crosswinds or passing traffic.
The # RP66559, with its 500-1000 lb effective range would've worked for you as well, as long as the trailer's tongue weight didn't exceed 1000 lbs.
I've linked to a demonstration video for the Steadi-Flex weight distribution system.
