Can I Use My Existing Rails to Mount a New Fifth Wheel Slider Hitch
Question:
I have a Ram 2500 mega cab with a 5th wheel hitch mounted on rails. If I purchase a slider hitch can this be mounted on same rails or would I have to mount new rails?

If you have industry standard rails in your Ram 2500 Mega Cab, then a sliding hitch like the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Round Tube Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs # RP30075 would work.
If you do not have industry standard rails but have a factory OEM tow package, you would need an adapter, like the Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 25,000 lbs # RP30154.
If you can tell me the rails you have currently, we can determine if they are industry standard or not.
