Do Kuat NV and NV Base Bike Racks Have Same Distance from Hitch Pin Hole to Bike Tray

Question:

In response to a question on the difference between the Kuat NV2 and the Kuat NV2 Base, it was stated: The # NV22G, when installed in the hitch, will sit closer to your vehicle when folded down then the NV 2.0 Base bike rack. Does folded down mean when extended horizontally to hold the bikes? What causes this difference? Thanks

I am not sure why that info would be out there but there is no difference between the Kuat NV Base part # BA22B and the NV2 part # NV22G as far as distance from hitch pin to bike rack is concerned. These two racks have the same shanks so one would not stick out further than the other.
