Will the Trailer Valet # STC-V211 Fit a 2011 Jayco Pop-up Camper
Question:
I really want a Trailer Valet but am not certain it will fit my 2011 Jayco 1208 popup camper. The Valets mounting bracket may be wider than the space I have available to mount it on the frame. I also need to know if there will be room to swivel it into place for travel. Do you have any idea if the Valet will fit?

Expert Reply:
The installation bracket for the Trailer Valet # STC-V211 that you referenced takes up to 8 inches of space to mount on the trailer frame. If you have enough room to mount the unit, you should be fine being able to swivel it into position to travel because you should not have anything else extending over the side-rails of your trailer.
In the picture I have attached are the measurements from the actual # STC-V211 we have on site. From the bottom of the wheel to the top of the unit while in a parallel position for traveling it is 27-1/2 inches. When in the folded up position, if you leave the handle/arm attached it is 15 inches to the frame of the trailer. If you remove the arm then the distance is 9 inches. From the side of the trailer to the side of the unit and that measures 7-1/2 inches. Finally, the space required for the mounting bracket is 8 inches.
We have not had any complaints regarding the fit on a 2011 Jayco 1208 pop-up camper to date.
If you find you do not have the room to mount this unit, check out the Trailer Dolly # RA20 which is very simple to use.
