Recommended Gooseneck Hitch For A 2008 Ford F-350 DRW
Question:
Trying to figure out what type of under body puck system is already installed in this 2008 F-350 Dual Wheel 8foot box truck. Dimensions in photos are close but not exact. Looking for a in gooseneck ball plate or something similar that does not require removing existing puck system. Any knowledge or help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Neither Reese nor I could identify the puck system installed in the bed of your 2008 Ford F-350 DRW. It's rare but every now and then we do see homemade projects that don't quite match up to industry standards. My best guess is whoever installed this did some designing of their own. To install a gooseneck hitch you are unfortunately going to have to remove the puck system.
I recommend installing the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000lbs # BWGNRK1108. B&W manufactures all of their products in the United States and is known for their superior quality. The 5/8" thick, spring-loaded, steel locking pin on end of handle goes all the way through ball to secure it in place with access to the handle at rear driver's-side wheel well. You can remove the ball from the hitch, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the hitch for storage and full bed access. This hitch will also allow you to use B&W's Companion 5th wheel hitch # BWRVK3500 as well so you'll be able to tow both 5th wheel and gooseneck trailers.
I've included some videos that will show you installation as well as review the products to offer you some additional information.
