How Far do Bikes Mount Away from the Rear Doors of My 2018 Ram Promaster 3500 with the # TH302013

Question:

If you use the lower of the 3 positions for the bikes, do you have any problems with the handle bars contacting the doors/windows? All the pictures/videos I see show the middle or upper positions being used, and the handlebars seem to be above the roofline, and so no problem with those positions causing possible rubbing the doors/windows. How much lower inches is the lower position than the middle position?

If you are worried about the interference of your bike's handlebars when mounted on the Thule Elite Van XT 2 # TH302013 on your 2018 Ram ProMaster 3500 Van, unless your bikes have exceptionally long handlebars, your bikes will fit without interfering with the rear doors/windows. The length from the rack's contact point with the rear of your van to the front tire cradles in the first and second position is 10 inches long. In the third position, that distance is 10-1/4 inches long. Your handlebars will not interfere with your van if they are under shorter than these distances. I recommend measuring the length of your handlebars to ensure the fitment.

I went ahead and attached a diagram of these dimensions to provide you with perspective. I went ahead and linked a picture of the different positions as well.
