Best 2-Bike Racks For Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2020 Ford Escape

Question:

What two-bike bike racks would you recommend for a e67AR receiver. One that will fold back for hatch access and fold out of the way when not in use. This is for a 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid. Thanks

I can absolutely recommend some options for a 2-bike rack that will work perfectly for you with the etrailer hitch that fits your 2020 Ford Escape (including the Hybrid, but not the diesel models):

- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver 2" # e67AR

What I'll do is go ahead and give you a couple options so you can make the right choice for your needs and budget. One thing that both racks will have in common is that they will both tilt down, and will have the necessary clearance from your bumper to fold up when not in use. That said, let's go ahead and start with the single best option, which is from Kuat and comes in your choice of three different colors:

- Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Pearl # SH22P, Black # SH22B, or Gray # SH22G

The Sherpa 2.0 is the best because it offers you the most convenience; will install in your Escape's hitch with the swift and simple turn of a knob at the front of the rack, making it one of the easiest bike racks to use; the knob also works as an anti-rattle device, giving you a very quiet ride. The rack even tilts down and folds up with the use of just a handy foot lever.

Additionally, the Sherpa 2.0 comes with a hitch lock to secure the rack to your Escape, and a cable lock to secure your bikes to the rack, helping protect your investments. It is also made from aluminum so it will be rust-free as well as lightweight at just 32 lbs so it is easy to handle. The next option I recommend checking out is one from Yakima:

- Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # Y02443

The HoldUp is the next tier down in cost, and it also has the benefit of having a 60 lb per-bike capacity compared to the 40 lb per-bike capacity of the Sherpa. It is a very nice rack overall that also comes with locks for security and is a wheel-mounted rack like the Sherpa, but isn't quite as easy to use. The HoldUp installs in the shank with a threaded hitch pin, so it is a little more work and time-consuming to take in and out of your hitch, and it tilts and folds via a spring pin near the shank so it is a bit more difficult to access than the lever on the Sherpa.
