How to Find Replacement Brake Assemblies for 14 Foot Enclosed Trailer

Question:

I have a 14’ tandem axle enclosed trailer that is due for a brake assembly. I just simply don’t want to make a mistake on ordering them. Your help please. Thanks

Your 14' enclosed trailer should use 3,500 lb axles so the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA should work for your application. These brake assemblies have a 10" diameter so the way to confirm fitment is to verify the weight capacity of your trailer axles and then measure the diameter of the trailer brakes themselves (not including the back plate).

If you are still unsure go ahead and send me some pictures of you measuring your brake assemblies and/or of the weight capacity tag on your axle (it should be located in the center of the axle). Please note that what you do to one side of your axle you should also do to the other side, which is why this kit comes with 2 brake assemblies.

Attached is a review and install video that you can check out.
