There isn't a significant voltage drop through the diode of the Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Wire Kit for Demco Supplemental Braking Systems # DM66VR that you referenced. The fuse and diode of this kit is rated for 10 amps so as long as the circuit stays under that it would work great.
