I have this installed on a 2005 Jeep GC .It seems that after testing the wires in the back of the unit the blue wiire is not lighting up the tester when either the brake is applied or the slider .Red and black work fine .Any suggestions This unit has only been used five times in three years

If no power is going out along the blue wire on the Hopkins Agility brake controller, # HM47294, that is a prime indicator that there is a problem inside the controller and it will have to be replaced. You can try applying the manual override on full and let it snap back into place to clean the contacts inside. And you can also adjust the power output and the angle at which the controller is mounted according to the instructions, linked for reference.

I do think that the controller has suffered a fatal error though and a new one is going to be the way to go. For a much more reliable controller I recommend the Tekonsha P2, # 90885. It is our most popular brake controller because of its reliability and ease of use.
