Troubleshooting Installation of the Pop and Lock Tailgate Power Lock # PAL8250
Question:
Installed the power lock as instructions show. Testing it I found that it would lock and unlock using a battery to test it. But as soon as the power is removed the return spring moves the lock To a point that unlocks the tailgate. Im not seeing any way the adjust Any of the part on the lock or power lock unit. If there is no way to correct The problem its going back . 2010 Ford F150 XLT Bob phillips

The leads to your power lock, Pop and Lock # PAL8250, may be reversed. Simply disconnect the wires from the power lock and reverse them. Re-attach the connectors and re-install the power lock.
Your power tailgate lock should now work normally.
