What is the Distance Between the Hitch Pin and the Ball Mount of the Curt MV # C17057?
Question:
My receiver sits a few inches back due to welded on tow hooks. I am currently using a Curt 12 inch receiver hitch in order for the ball to extend far enough beyond the bumper for the trailer hitch to clear the bumper. What is the distance from the hitch pin to where the ball mounts?

Expert Reply:
The distance between the center of the pinhole and the center of the ball mount of the Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17057 is a minimum 11-1/2 and a maximum of 13 inches. This is because this part can move slightly due to the tilt range of the system.
If you need a ball to go along with the MV, you will need a hitch ball that has a 1-1/4 inch diameter shank. I went ahead and attached our product page that has all of the balls we carry that have a diameter of that measurement.
