Parts Needed to Install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite in a 2022 Subaru Ascent with Factory Tow Package

Question:

I have a 2022 Subaru Ascent with the tow package. I want to use the Redarc brake controller because I don't want a big bulky controller. What do I need to get/do to get this in my Ascent?

To install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR in your 2022 Subaru Ascent you will also need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3062-P. This adapter plugs into the connector located beneath your vehicle's dashboard and left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. There will be a 4-pin connector that mates with the adaptor. The other end will then plug into the Tow-Pro Elite. Providing with a simple installation. To help give the control knob a clean, from the factory look you can use the included control mount that provides a clean backdrop for the control knob that installs in your dash or console.
