Correct Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box for a 2019 Palomino Puma 257

Question:

Have a 2019 puma fifth wheel, 257 ress, have 1621 pin box, 18,000#. 6 1/2 ft bed with slider hitch. Will long neck box be hitting tailgate as it is longer than original box? Also will it make trailer cap on turns contact truck cab. Thank you is the 328492 right for my application? Want flex air pin box.

The correct Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box for a 2019 Palomino Puma 257 is part # LC328492. This pin box will be an excellent upgrade over the original providing improvement in ride quality, increased handling, and reduced wear on both the truck and trailer.

In regards to dimensions, the pin box is designed to mirror that of the one it replaces although they are not always the exact same. That said, any difference in length would be minimal and would not cause any cab clearance issues if there were none to begin with. The same goes with the tailgate, so long as you have the proper setup with the factory pin box, replacing it for the same style won't create new issues.
