Recommended Suspension Enhancement For a 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
Hi, I recently purchased a 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 and have pulled our camper behind it a few times now. I have noticed a bit of squatting going on and would like to supplement the stock suspension to help with this. I already have a weight distribution system that I was using with my previous Silverado that handles the trailer well, but it looks like I need something more for this one. Thanks

We definitely have a couple options available to get rid of the sag when towing with your 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500.
First will be the TorkLift StableLoad Rear Suspension Upgrade with Quick-Disconnects - Lower Overload Springs # TLA7310. These are designed to be installed on a factory lower overload spring and will basically lower the distance it takes for them to be engaged. The only downside to these is if you have a regular cab, they cannot be used.
I also spoke with Firestone and their Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2609 is a confirmed fit for your truck as long as you do not have the LD version. These will give you up to 5,000 pounds of load leveling capacity at 100 psi, but are fully adjustable and can be set as hard or as soft as you need.
Though these are both made in the USA and can both be disengaged to return you to as close to a stock ride as possible, I do prefer the Firestone air bags due to the adjustability. But with that being said, for even more support, these can also be used together.
A potential add on if you decide to go with the air bags is a compressor unit. This will allow you to adjust the pressure on the fly and is something I tend to recommend when suggest air bags. The Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Light-Duty Compressor # F2158is rated up to 130 psi and will definitely get you bags filled.
