Is There a Difference Between Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Racks HLY84FR & HLY74FR
Question:
This rack seems to be the best for ebikes with fenders frame mount vs. wheel mount. But whats the difference between the 1-¼ inch and 2 inch vs. 2 inch alone. If both rack are otherwise the same and perform the same, wouldnt the 1-1/4 inch / 2 inch just give more flexibility down the road than the 2 inch only version? Is it as sturdy? What am I missing? Thanks very much.

You're not missing anything at all because the only difference between the two Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE bike racks you mentioned are the hitch receivers they are able to fit:
- 1-1/4 Inch (Class II only) & 2 Inch Hitch: Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY74FR
- 2 Inch Hitch Only: Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR
You are correct that the # HLY74FR that fits Class II 1-1/4 inch hitches and 2 inch hitches would indeed provide you more flexibility if you happen to change vehicles and find yourself needing a different sized hitch. But otherwise, these hitches offer the same benefits, able to carry heavy electric bikes up to 80 lbs each and offering security in the form of a hitch lock to secure the rack and frame locks and a cable lock to secure your bikes.
