Can Kayak Carrier be Installed on Crossmembers of Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer

Question:

Can I connect my kayak saddles directly to the frame cross bars and omit the round cross bars? The frame cross bars look just like the ones on my roof rack.

You might be able to get your kayak saddles to fit on the crossmembers of the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer # Y08106 but I wasn't able to confirm the dimensions with my contact at Yakima. Worst case scenario is that if they don't fit the crossmembers you can just use the round bars that come with the trailer. My contact at Yakima said that the crossmembers weren't designed to have the kayak carriers installed on them so he advised only using the round bars to secure your kayak carrier.
