As long as your 2013 Chevy Silverado does NOT have the factory tailgate assist, you can install either the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate with Lock for GM Trucks # VGM-07-4000 or the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate with Open Design for GM Trucks # VGM-07-100.
While both options will fit your truck, I recommend going with the first option (4000 series) as this is more rigid and looks better in my opinion, and it comes with an integrated lock so that it cannot be opened by anyone but you. The second option (100 series) is less rigid and is more basic, and also does not have the integrated lock.
