Question:
How do I know if my 2020 GMC Terrain has the factory tow package for trailer wiring?

To find out if your 2020 GMC Terrain has the factory tow package you will need to get into the fuse compartment in the rear of your vehicle. This fuse box will be located on the drivers side beneath the window. Once inside you will want to find the fuses K2 and K3. If these 2 locations have wiring coming out of them you have the tow package. I have attached a picture to help you find these fuse locations. I have attached an installation video to help guide you through this process as well.
If your Terrain has the tow package you will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C94FR. The Curt connector plugs directly into the OEM tow package harness.
If your Terrain does not have the factory tow package you will need the Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59236.
I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 76419 for towing. This is a custom fit 2" hitch receiver that bolts directly onto your Terrain without any drilling. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 4,500 lbs and a maximum tongue weigh of 675 lbs. I have attached a picture of what this hitch looks like mounted on a GMC Terrain.
