Is The Crossbar Attachment Needed For The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate KIt RM-521424-5

Question:

The tow bar I purchased has a mountable base plate that attaches either to bumper or the RM base plate. So it appears the RM-521424-5 base would eliminate the cross bar and brackets that came with tow bar? This seams like a waste with the tow bar my wife ordered from here if its not incorporated with installation?

You are correct, your Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 has an included crossbar that would adapt to base plate kits that are not compatible with Roadmster tow bars; However, the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521424-5 is a direct connect for this tow bar and does not require the crossbar attachment.
